ANTI-SPAM
What is SPAM?
Spam is the combination of unsolicitated emails sent bulk.
Bulk emails + Unsolicitated emails = SPAM
Wirepress was developed to easily send permission-based html e-mail to keep registered customers informed.
It is our intention to provide a service that is beneficial to all of our clients. As such, we have developed and continue to grow our anti-spam efforts. Please read our anti-spam policy below. By creating an account with Wirepress.com, you are agreeing to abide by this policy. Members who do not adhere to this policy will have their accounts permanently revoked, with no refund of fees to the user.
Use of Wirepress as a spamming tool will not be tolerated. A customer's account will be discontinued if proof is found that they have used Wirepress to:
• send unsolicited e-mail
• hijack an e-mail server relay
• distribute illegal information or materials
• forge header information
• put false of misleading information in the subject line
• fail to provide a means for unsubscribing mailing lists
If you believe someone has been sending spam using Wirepress, please send full details to abuse@wirepress.com
However, because Wirepress also has the duty, as an Application Service Provider, of providing support to its paying customers, the account will not be revoked upon mere suspicion - there must be sufficient evidence that the said Wirepress customer has been engaged in spamming.
It is the policy of Wirepress that anyone identifying themselves as part of or associated with any known mass e-mail sending corporations will be denied an account.
List owners are liable and responsible for the opt-in nature of their lists. By importing or manually adding subscribers to a member's database, the member is agreeing that each and every email address has requested to be a part of the list owner's database.
Failure to adhere to the above terms will result in a permanent closure of the account in question. No funds will be refunded and the member will no longer have access to their account or their account information, including their database.
What is Spam?
Spam is unsolicited e-mail, often called junk mail. By sending e-mail to only to those who have requested it, you are following accepted guidelines.
The Spam Test
1. Are you importing a purchased list of ANY kind?
2. Are you sending to non-specific addresses such as:
sales@domain.com, business@domain.com, webmaster@domain.com, info@domain.com, or other general addresses?
3. Are you sending to distribution lists or mailing lists that send indirectly to many e-mail addresses?
4. Are you mailing to anyone who has not explicitly agreed to join your mailing list?
5. Have you falsified your originating address or transmission path information?
6. Have you used a third party e-mail address or domain name without their permission?
7. Does your e-mail's subject line contain false or misleading information?
8. Does your e-mail fail to provide a working link to unsubscribe?
If you have answered YES to ANY of the above questions you will likely be labeled as a SPAMMER. For more information visit The Coalition Against Unsolicited E-mail. http://www.cauce.org
